Seamus Wilmot is the Director of Parking and Transportation, a role he has held since 2009. Mr. Wilmot oversees all campus parking operations and is responsible for providing access to campus for the 50,000 students, faculty, staff, and visitors who come to campus every day. In addition to parking at various locations around campus, Parking and Transportation provides transportation to more than 600,000 people on the campus shuttle and offers a wide array of alternative transportation programs including: BART, bicycling, AC Transit, car pool discounts, ride-sharing, and car-sharing all in the hopes of providing access to campus while minimizing the impact on the surrounding community and the environment.
Prior to Parking & Transportation, Mr. Wilmot held various roles in the Department of Recreational Sports, most recently as Budget Director. Mr. Wilmot holds an MBA from St. Mary’s College and a B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and is a Certified Administrator of Public Parking (CAPP). Mr. Wilmot spent a number of years racing sail boats in national and world championships in Europe, Japan, and throughout the United States. He now enjoys time with his wife and two children in Alameda, CA.
